It is used for covering concrete floors or metal surfaces to protect against dynamic stresses (impact, shocks, cracks, drilling). Usually, the product can be made from rubber compounds based on SBR, SBR/NR, SBR/NBR, SBR/EPDM, SBR/CR, and can be used in a temperature range between -30°C and +70°C. It can be made from a compound based on NBR, which provides good resistance to petroleum products (the temperature range in which it can be used is between -30°C and +110°C), or based on EPDM, which provides good resistance to temperature and atmospheric conditions (the temperature range in which it can be used is between -30°C and +150°C).
Additionally, the ribbed rubber mat can be made with other electro-insulating or antistatic properties, with fire resistance for protection against ignition hazards or exposure to flames, self-ignition due to overloading, or accumulation of electrical charges.
From an aesthetic point of view, the product has one ribbed side and one with a fabric impression, or with a self-adhesive layer that allows easy attachment to the surface on which it is applied.
